My wife has learned this the hard way after years of putting up with me. Dinner can be lunch or supper, but supper can only be supper. I'm pretty sure that's straight outta the Bible. They didn't have no "Last Dinner" because that woulda meant there was still one more meal that day

Dinner = Biggest meal of the day.
Which in Mama's House and Grandmama's House, you knew damn well that's supper 6 days a week, and lunchtime on Sundays.
