MOTD (Meme of the Day)

As a long time athlete, I never understood that one. Even as a kid, I remember wearing a Reggie White jersey, I wanted to style my game after him, but somewhere around middle school thought the concept of ‘being a fan’ was weird. Even in college, I understood kids wanting someone to look up to, but when adults would stand in lines/push/shove for autographs, it was a totally wild concept to me. I still watch college football, because I enjoy the game, but couldn’t tell you a single players name, and there’s certainly no ‘we’ when talking about team performance.

About like the folks that say it’s “their team” didn’t even go to college there much less play. Fools buying jerseys

Somewhere in between here . I get knowing the players by name as a matter of statistical accuracy. And I excuse any alum for saying ‘we’ in college.
Pros - nah dog that ain’t it. Unless you played for the redskins and been holding out on us.
But…a grown MAN wearing a jersey. Get outta here. Woman ? Ok. Woman braless in a jersey - yes please. Dude? Nah!

But…
Well I don’t feel like thumbing a book on a psychology on clan behavior and sense of belonging - and tribalism

Hell it’s hard to believe my brother doesn’t own duke or the cowboys by all of his commentary and bragging. And I’d bet my check he’s never seen either play in person
