shhhiiiiit my ‘89 PU has a super sweet dashboard pullout holder that supports everything from a 12 oz. “Soda” to a route 44 without spillage. Road tested and approved. Sits right in front of the dash ac (which if it worked) could facilitate keeping said beverages cold.

yup my 93 has that.
During the summer my water gets cold from the AC, during the winter my coffee is kept hot.

Kinda annoying that with a cup / bottle in there it blocks the HVAC controls so if ya gotta switch something its just my memory.

The prior gen 4runners and trucks had zero cup holders though.
