Yes, but refugees are supposed to be temporary. El Salvador had an earth quake in 2001 and the refugees never went back home.

The distinction is "refugees" are here legally and if they are here illegally they are criminals. Running up to a border agent declaring "refugee" is BS. IMO we should install a bunch of these at the border
