Too bad we can’t get readily available FZJ45s in the states.

I see portals and nothing based on a USA available platform. I also see a lot of awesome!

I leave my Jake’s on. Learn your pedals and it’s a non issue. See also: not a turban suburban.
Serious question ❓ Does it change the way the gears float and catching the right rpm? My head says the trans rpm would be directly effected. Having driven big trucks enough to be dangerous I am curious.

Cut into this big ol mountain maple I’ve been ignoring for over a year.

Kinda cool that it’s nourishing enough to regenerate itself.

Purdy.

Then we rescued a hummingbird that had flown into the shop. It finally flew into something hard enough to stun itself so we could pick it up. Kids thought it was cool and so did I.

So there’s a couple options
1.) flick the switch on/off

2.) leave the switch on and when you are shifting up just rest your foot on the clutch. There is a micro switch that will disengage the Jake’s as long as it’s adjusted right. I’m talking about literally an 1/8” of pedal travel should kick the Jake’s off. That switch also kills the cruise if you tap the pedal.

3.) when you’re shifting up just don’t let the RPM’s come all the way to idle when you shift (float) the gears. The Jake’s will only engage once the throttle pedal is at its full resting position.

4.) let the Jake’s engage when you are shifting and it will slow everything down faster and you can row the gears faster.

YMMV.
