So when Fauci approved nih funding of gain of function research through eco health alliance at the wuhan lab, there was no concern of bioethics? Got it. It’s like a senator married to a hefdge fund manager…

wtf are you talking about?
The Bioethics department has no role in regulation or approval. They are on the academic side of NIH. Its intentionally split that way. It's nothing like your analogy.

So his wife is in charge of the group that makes recommendations and determines ethics. He is the “trusted” source of policymakers.

He funded eco health alliance who was documented to fund gain of function research on bat coronaviruses in wuhan, where the first 3 cases of covid 19 were lab workers.

Then despite internal emails stating he suspected it came from the lab he said it was from nature.

Then he used his position to make influence policy decisions.


Am I missing how that is not a problem?

I really don't want to debate the facts and value of this with you in this thread, feel free to carry it elsewhere.
What matters here is that (1) what is stated on that meme is flatly incorrect and (2) people seem to believe it, including you based on your words above. What you are saying is not how the NIH works. I generally wouldn't care and would just let the meme go but you made a thing out of it.
