When they first started the real id my wife and I were due for DL renewals - so we got all the non sense together and went in together and got "approved"...well at that time that SC DMV wasnt issuing realid - but they assured us they were marking us int he system as good to go and when they began issuing them we wouldnt need the documentation again as we had passed the check....

Ill let you guess how that went.

My wife went back through the process. I just fly with my passport.

Was doing work at the Federal Reserve Bank in Charlotte. Had to provide 2 forms of id to get a badge. Ok no problem, DL and CWP.....CWP had to do fingerprints background check etc. Nope CWP is not acceptable. Ended up providing passport.

Side note a guard told me if I could get cash to the loading dock he would help me load it.
Also had to buy a Tervis coffee cup because no opaque cups were allowed in the cash area.
Bullet resistant walls only go to the ceiling not all the way to the floor above.

Friend of mine did work in same building as a joke they brought in a pack of Glencairn and drank coffee out of them since they were see through. Apparently one of the guards was a whiskey guy and loved it.

Same guards been there for years they are great to work with. "Easy" job working at the Fed. Once they know you no problem. I could wander around no one would say anything to me. Board room up on their grass roof, maintenance, in the basement, even in cash as long as you follow the rules, anywhere.
Piles of cash on "robototic" pallets.

I can tell you about a certain fancy watch maker's leased facility with precious metals and gems that has bulletproof glass on the first floor but a tin roof and holes through each concrete floor above...
