MOTHER IN LAW IS COMING

The last time I saw my MIL I bought her a present, I have never seen her since and am guaranteed I never will again.
100% true story, no joke, no bs.
 
Its just a shame an urn is so darn expensive.
 
Well, I have pissed all of the coven off now. There is a bunk bed that belongs in that room (twin top full bottom) and they are all saying it needs to go somewhere else. I have put my foot down that I am not putting it out in a building so it ill get covered up and buried and take half a day to get back out to put back in the room in two years or less. It is also good for guests and mid day naps. They are all mad that I wont give in.
 
What kind of mother would send dogs outside on a night w severe weather and possible twisters?.............If you must stay and endure, I would suggest a peace offering of sorts, maybe a bottle of wine or 3, and some cupcakes? Tell her the bunkbeds are visual reminders the new baby will need a brother/sister, that should shut her up!
 
Actually when you are 6'3" and 300 pounds you can end arguments pretty easily. They have messed the carpet up big time. They cut it wrong. I guess I will have to wait and se ehow long ti takes it to come apart.
 
Well they wanted to liquid nail the shoe molding to the walls and put wood screws in the crib where a screw is missing. MIL is so mad she is crying. Rest of the coven is avoiding me. I told them I wasn't going to nigger it it was going to be done right and I would do it this week when I could get to Fastenal to get the right bolt.

Oh nooo I wouldn't have that either. Good call on standing your ground. Liquid nails the show molding on? Wow.
 
Now that they are gone I surveyed the room. They painted over all the wall sockets and the light switch, cut the carpet wrong, didn't buy enough shoe molding to go around the room, missed big spots on the wall with paint, and the new smoke detector that they put up 5 feet away from the other one fell off the wall and hit me in the head when I went to get a diaper. If I had paid her to do it I would be furious, since it didn't cost me anything I figure it will work till the kids gets tired of green walls. She wasn't even going to miter the shoe molding just put it up butted together.

Just painted the wall covers. Why would you insist on doing something then do it so poorly.

I'd redo it. Just so it was completely different when she comes again.

WarBeast wife (I really should get an account).
I mentioned us planning to have another child and she was livid--why the hell would you want that type of mad. Now whether we do have more or not hasn't even been discussed I think it is funny she was so upset at the possibility of another grandkid. I guess if it was from some rich old guy, or punk kid my age it wouldn't be a big deal--but they despise the WB.

Peace offerings would not help--he has tried to be nice/civil with her, but even I was ready for her to just be gone! Thank God for 400 miles of road between us!!!!
 
I'm sorry to hear that, I assumed WB was making it sound worse than it was. I can't imagine any grandma not wanting grandbabies and would hope the family you have now will soften her feelings for Daddy WB one day. :)
 
MIL's can be great or suck, thats for sure. I talk to my ex MIL all the time, She is one of the best people I know. Drives the ex wife insane! I cant see how so much good can skip a generation and miss my ex all together! LOL! Hang in there guys! It will all filter out with time.
 
If anything I was sugar coating it. She is the most materialistic, appearance driven person I have ever met. The age difference isn't what bothers her so much it is that I am not rich and don't really give a damn. I have what I need and some extra and I am fine with that. She has to have everything new and shiny and neat. The coven spent their entire time down here telling Steph that she had to wear more girly clothes ( she likes wearing my shirts) or she would confuse Heath. And told her she couldn't work on cars anymore because she had a baby.

Then they kept telling me that Heath couldn't ride in the pickup because it was illegal. It was really all I could do to not shoot them and bury them in the field, although nothing would ever grow down there again.
