Ok fellas, lets get the discussion rolling now to help keep some of our brethren out of the doghouse.

What kind of stuff do you find works well? Have a special plan this year?

Rachael is very practical, normally likes things she can eat :) and of course the obligatory "day off" from the ankle biters - er, kids. She normally dosn't like jewelry but this year she's hinted she wants a ring engraves w/ their names on it.

i only buy for my mom, i do not give mothers day presents to my wife(she is not my mom)
when the kids were young i bought my wife gifts from them, but not from me.
I'm sure that goes over well.

IMHO, I buy for the mothers in my life, mine (stepmom) and the woman I am dating right now.
They seem to appreciate the thought more than anything.

Its not supposed to be any way, Mother's day is a made up holiday. That said, why miss out on a chance to make the mother of your children feel special, providing you are still together. I still buy something small from my kids to their mom, and we have been divorced for over a year.

I thought my wife said she wanted some 5.29s but perhaps I misunderstood her.

Wifey is a new mom and its her birthday so I'm taking the family down to Folly beach for 5 days. My mother will get a card.
