I would like to go up their again soon. I was thinking either January or Feburary and renting a cabin. Is their anyone going up their then and what cabins are available in the area?
 
The campground has one cabin, I think is about $100 a night. I have stayed in Brookside Cottages, they are about 5 miles from the campground, just depends if you want right at the trails or not. The Brookside Cottages are nice but a little far away and not alot of parking. They have 5 cabins ranging from $95-$115 a night.
 
Our group has stayed at both,

I stayed in the cabin at the campground, $100 a night, But its not plush, Its good for what it is for, It has good heat, its clean, and has two bedrooms with two single beds each. There is a bathroom with shower ect, Kitchen with fridge and full size oven / stove. It is right across from the trail head and has ample parking. There is a pull out sofa also, We had enough room for an air bed between the two single beds to allow three to a room. It is a decent sized cabin.

I didn't stay at Brookside, But Adam will probably chime in with some info, He stayed there the weekend of the 5th. I did hear them complaining about the parking issues, They had trailers and tow rigs.
 
I looked up Brookside on the net, looks nice I bet the wife that hates my jeep would like them. Anyone have any pictures inside the cabin at Callantee?
 
Not a good picture, But all the walls are covered like the ceiling, Has linoleum floors.

The fan was broken weekend before by some motorcycle riders

CTB will be having their January club ride at Callalantee on the 9th. We'd be glad to have you join us!
 
who can join that ride. Would like to ride their and never got a chance even though it is 30 min from my house. Is there enough riding for a buggy on 40's

I would like to make it up there before new years, but its going to be during the wk sometime. You've got time don't you:flipoff2:
 
brookside was decent. the 1 adam and braxton rented had 1 bedroom, aloft, and like a futon couch. but the parking was cramped
 
Josh, let me know when your going up. I am out of school so i can make some day trips
 
I will be up and going next week. Josh just let me know what day and I am game. You know I have to check to see if I can pencil that in my busy schedule :flipoff2:
 
:lol: We'll be bustin ass on it tommorrow to try and get it wheelable. Gonna try to get up there and do a lil snow wheelin on Sunday. Hope to go again before new years.

Snow wheeling would be fun. Do they get snow in January and Feburary?
 
Ok, looks like the kids have a half day on the 26th. So, Feburary, 27th looks like the day. I'm trying to get some of the TN and NC NAXJA crew to meet me there. Debating between hotel and cabin. I saw on their site they claim to have campers to rent. Anyone have any experience with this? I have not called to see if the cabin is available yet though. I have been there once, but is their a good recent map available?
