Mountain City

Some kind of answer would be nice, I'd like to know what to expect. No use in riding 2 hours up there if there's no place to wheel.
 
yeah i could have swore i thought the ride was suspose to be oct 29th not sept 29th? maybe im a month late?? i was just trying to plan because im leaving for halran this wednesday and if they are doing a final ride in mountain city then i wont thrash my rig to bad. i havent been to mountain city but there are a few obsticals i wanna check off my list before it closes
 
I thougth oct also since its closing nov 1... Maybe everyone should make a trip of it oct 29th!?!?!?!? I'd come more than likely and dont need a band or cookout either just a mountain to ride on!~~~!
 
Ok, I screwed this all up. JC and I and few others rode on 9/30. as I understood it they are closing Nov 1. You are right there was to be a ride for 10/29 and I don;t know what happened to the thread. Sorry for the confusion!
 
I have heard some rumors that I can't repeat, so all I can say is you have to be patient. The park is not planned to be destroyed, but some changes must happen. As for what will happen nobody knows, but whatever does happen will be after that date and may even be a few months after. Just try to wait it out and news will be published when available.

I got back from Mt.City today. I asked the lady and the dude running it what's up with the closing. They said they're definitely closing after October to go spend time with the land owner. They said they're defintely NOT selling the land. When asked what happens after the winter they said they don't know. They could have been holding out or they could just not know. Mt. City is still awesome though..Just sayin'!
 
1) I love how no one can mention the Big Dixie Boggers event in October without messing up either the name of the group, the name of the event or the location of the event. :lol:

2) I wish I had the luxury to run a business and tell potential customers that I may or may not be open in the future and they just need to stay tuned. That would be nice.

If I'm ever a deca-millionaire I promise to build a park, stock a warehouse with spare parts, have a fully stocked garage and full time employees to wash your rig and load it up for you after you wheel.

And there will be a Hooter's there and everything will be free!!
 
dayum Chris, you wouldn't be a deca millionaire long. Rednecks can put down some brew and chicken wings bro.
 
couple of us decided to go down this weekend friday to sunday if anyone else is. I know last min thing. Oct 21st to 23rd
