Who has it? I love this stuff, it's straight outta my childhood, but you can't get it in the Triangle. How about Asheville? Greensboro? Charlotte?

LOL... yeah, I haven't seen it in a while, probably since about this time last year. The taste definitely takes me back.
 
I personally don't remember mountain dew ever tasting like that - i don't know.... when I got dew's that tasted like the throwbacks, it was usually in the old glass bottle and usually when I took the bottle cap off it didn't go PHSSHHHT.. :p

guess I just like the current corrupted sugar version haha
 
Saw it at Wal-Mart in Wilmington two weeks ago.

I don't personally like the Throwbacks. Mexican Mountain Dew made with real sugar is great though.

It is at Food Lion here in Charleston.

It does taste a little different from what I remember as a kid, but that was about 40 years ago. Now a days, I can't remember what I had for supper the previous night anyway, so that is a moot point.

Anyone remember "jolt" cola ? Their slogan was "twice the sugar and all of the caffeine" .

I drank that stuff to keep me awake while running off-shore in the early mornings, never fell asleep either.
 
Food Lion and Lowes Foods around here. Saw it the other night.
 
Throwback Mtn Dew is the same as Mexican Mtn Dew. Cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup.

I had Mountain Dew some as a kid.... then not again until I was grown. First time I had a taste of the throwback stuff, I was 8 yrs old again. Funny how flavors will stick with you like that.

I don't really like the throwback Dew, but the throwback Pepsi is the ticket.
The Mt. Dew Livewire is good. According to the locator, I need to head up to Martinsville
 
I've been looking for it in Asheville. All I have found is Pepsi Throwback at Wal-Mart and Ingles. Haven't seen the dew since it first came out.

The stuff that had the real fruit pulp floating in it! It was awesome! Funny thing is, I found long necks bottled in Texas for sale at the farmer's market in Raliegh! This stuff was invented in NC and we have to get it out of Texas?!!
 
see the throwback mt dew and pepsi from time to time at the local food lions and bi lo's.

+1 to the mexican cola.
bi lo had a sale on it awhile back and i picked up 6 in a glass bottle. had alot better taste than any regular coca cola or pepsi.

Nah...Throwback Mtn Dew had orange juice in it which is not in the regular formula. It doesn't taste like Mexican Mountain Dew which uses sugar, but does not have OJ.
 
The Locator was semi-correct. Food Lion didn't have it, but I found a buncha cases at the Harris Teeter and bought 'em out. Pepsi truck driver told me it would be back in the Triangle in December. Who knows why they keep doing that. Lousy marketing, to pump up a product and then not stock it.

And yep, it has Orange Juice. See? It's a health drink! :D:smokin:

They actually took the orange juice OUT for the Throwback.
 
Just grabbed a 12 pack of this. Not normally a Mtn. Dew guy, but this stuff is way better than the standard corn syrup garbage. I can actually drink it.
