I have been searching for years. I refuse to drop 50K or better for what I am looking for. I would like something near Mortimer or Roseman. If you have any leads PM me ,looking to build small cabin for weekend trips .Willing to buy lots with singlewide mobile homes that need to be removed.

This must be a common problem, I’ve been looking for the same thing but haven’t been able to find much. I was also wanting to be on a big creek or river though.

Under 2 acres Im not sure but if you would go 2-5...then maybe Burnsville or Bakersville area?

Otherwise its sort of like looking for cheap ocean front land

I think most people who buy land in the mountains want solitude, and that's hard to get with just 2 acres. And in many places in the mountains, the cost of building a good driveway might be approaching as much as you want to spend for the land.

My parents have some land off highway 90 north of Collettsville that they've mentioned selling all or part of. Theres a right of way across 1/4 mile of forest service gameland to get to it. PM me what you have in mind and I'll relay the message.
