Ok, the new girlfriend has always wanted to ride the blue ridge parkway this time of year, and never done it before.. so ofcourse i want her to have it this year :) ... So I am looking for a beautiful romantic place to take her and stay for a day or maybe two, were we can relax, and have decent access to the blue ridge parkway... Money is not an option, the nicer the better... Any suggestions???

Oh and by the way.. The next trip she wants to take is to Uwharrie with HER jeep... :driver:

I have a catch!!

Not what you asked for but an opinion anyway.
Just a side note. If she wants to just see pretty fall foliage, go to the Cherohala Skyway. Better Scenery and much less crowded than the BRP.
BRP can often turn into 50 miles of 20mph follow the granpa leader this time of year. And something about 30 mini vans in a line detratcs from th natural beauty

BTW Congrats on your catch.

Another benefit, Cherohala is less than 1 hour from UpperTellicoRecreationArea

Thanks for the suggestion.. She told me blue ridge parkway so thats where i am going to go, but are they close enough to where we could hit both of them?

Check out Doughton Park on the BRP. It is one of the nicest places to see the changing of the seasons. You can stay at the Bluffs Lodge in Doughton Park. There are miles of hiking trails in the park so if you don't want to get stuck behind the leaf peepers on the parkway you can enjoy the BRP on foot. There's even a good little coffe shop there with great food. If you are into camping there is a campsite there also.

Here is a link for the Bluffs Lodge.
