Mountain vacation

Thinking of spending a weekend in the mountains. Anyone have any experience with any secluded cabins for rent possibly with a private hot tub? I was thinking of staying in the asheville area

High Mountain Cabin Rentals of North Carolina

We use this place almost exclusively. My wife and I rent one about 1-2 times a year. Heading up there in June actually.

Depends on what you wanna do where to stay. Maggie valley has a ton of rentals.... Some on top of each other some aren't but that's about all that's going on in maggie plus traffic will be bad on a event weekend. Hot springs is nice close to Asheville but with the wild fire you'll probably see some burnt woods

My wife and I went to Cripple Creek Cabins in Wytheville, VA. It was real nice. 15 mins to town for dinner.

My wife and I stayed at one of the cabins at Nantahala Village many years ago. It was very nice.

Not terribly mountainy, but my wife and I like to go to Elkin and wine tour. We have always stayed at Frog Holler Cabins. They are great.

If you are looking to do some hiking, I recommend staying in the Brevard area. There are a bunch of great waterfall hiking trails around Brevard. We rented a nice house on the top of a mountain from this place late last October during peak leaf color. It was awesome.

Also check out High Country Motorcycle campground in Ferguson. Secluded and a nice waterfall up the road.
