so I’m working on mounting a bumper I picked up from Bigwoody.

The width of the bumper is slightly wider than the body. Looking at the side, the body line for the wheel well and rear quarter panel skirt would be nice to tie the bumper into. That’s purely aesthetics of course. But looking at the frame, it sits much higher than that body line. I could fav a bracket that mounts the bumper lower than the frame, but I’m thinking that’s not such a great idea. Seems to me that having the bumper inline with the frame is most important.

Thoughts?

I’m thinking line the top of the bumper up with the bottom of that white body panel (maybe 1/2” gap) then cut the body however needed on the ends for fitment? Or keep the same alignment as above and modify the bumper to go around and protect the quarter panel?

I mounted mine as high as possible... *AND NOT interfere with the tailgate when opened* (though mine has been rendered inoperable for years)
