ok, so my truck currently has nothing on the rear end except for the springs, and only the main leaf at that. My parents have this bad habit of having organized parties at their house when my truck is minus an axle. So once again, they are having some big party next month for some organized thing and of course my truck is sitting on blocks. I have all the brackets and things coming to do my suspension stuff (inboarding the leaves) and remount the spring perches on the axle, but i cant weld and school might make this month deadline impossible for me to do. I would like to move it to my shop soon and was hoping that some of yall might have some ideas of how to haul it around with nothing on the rear but the frame. So lets hear 'em!

Oh, my shop is only a 5 minute drive from my parents house so i wouldnt have to worry about being on the highway or anything like that, just Hilsborough street (for those of you familiar with Raleigh)

I've hauled a couple sitting on inflated tires shoved under the frame and crosstied down tight. I wouldn't recomend taking one crosscountry that way but, short distances at low speed seem to be ok. A wood deck trailer works better for this as the surface has better grip. I've unloaded ones like this with a come a long and a stout limb or a-frame and some slow movements. You can use a engine hoist on the rear too, just be very careful as thats close to the weight limit of most hoists. A friend with a sling type tow truck might be handy too.

Since it has springs under it, even if it is just the main leaf, I would take an axle,, any axle, and ratchet strap it down or u-bolts, anything to keep it in place and pull it there.

got it moved. i like my truck like this... i think im going to leave it.
