I'm probably going to be moving to wilmington sometime late this summer. I want to live near the beach, plus I can finish up my education at UNCW. Any recommendations as to where a good spot close to the school but still near the beach and down town is?

wel welcome and anywhere from mayfair area down south and east of wilmington would be the best...choose places close to main rds like carolina beach rd, college rd, eastwood rd, military cut off rd, wrightsville ave, or oleander...all close to school down town and the beach

Monkey Junc. Now that brings back some 70's memories !
I'll be in the area kinda " Fort Caswell / Southport ( grew up there ) for the 4th of july week.

well i've found a place off of macmillan, and another off of wrightsville ave. Kinda like halfway between the beach and downtown, and not too far from CB

sweet.....i guess it all is gonna come down to money to make the choice...hopefully will know by the end of the month/early june!!

The Southend is your best bet ... Crosswinds Apts, Colonial Grand, The Keys ... really any apartments near the south end of s17th. Short drive to the beach and a $14 cab ride back from downtown!

fuck the whole monkey junction area of town... that area sucks for traffic and it's not convenient to downtown, school, orrrr the beach.

i have a place off kerr between market and MLK and it's a 5 min drive to downtown or uncw, about 8 mins to wrightsville beach. cab ride dtown is $9, cab ride to wb is $15.

i wouldn't live anywhere else in ilm.....

-Erik <---- would neverrrrr live in monkey junction
