Mtn. City Feb. 13th

Campground and parking area are the same. I'm loaded and currently getting pounded with snow. As long as I can make it to the road I think I'll be fine. I have a friend(Austin Sartin) in a blue scout buggy on 44's meeting me up there, he may get there before me.

put a back seat in the jeep and come pick me up:flipoff2:

awesome I will be there no matter what look for me burnt orange f 250 goose neck yellow wrangler on rocks and 44s and happy as a mother f@#*&@! to be out in the woods with some snow:bounce2:

Had a great time up there. The uphill trail from welder past the step up to the skyline was absolutely brutal. I was very relieved when we finally made it to the top and no one broke after all the throttle that was required. It was great to meet Dave(tincan) with his yellow jeep and Aarron with his sweet TJ buggy of Skidmarx Offroad. Here's a few pics I was able to take. Rock Crawling 2010 170.jpg

...and if you don't recognize this trail its Pull Cable with a good foot of snow on it. I went up little tellico and cut into it at the first right. Once we were in all forward progress stopped. Everytime I tried to back up and adjust I ended up further back so I ended up backing down to the bottom, which went suprisingly well. The last picture is the main trail below Pull Cable.

So who all had heaters in their rigs? Looks frigid and brutal.

Had a great time. Thanks to Josh for the passenger seat. It wasn't cold when we weren't knocking snow off of all the trees right into our laps...or Josh wasn't busting through creeks trying to "stay ahead of the water" Hahaha.

Hey Josh.......What happend to that phone call?

Between no passenger seats and the bar friday nite, I forgot.

Dave in the yellow jeep, and Austin in the scout. 4 rigs, 2heaters and 1 windshield. I was lucky enough to forget my bibs and heavy jacket at my house so I ended up wheeling in a couple pullovers, bluejeans and thin long johns-good times!

Didn't run into these guys until we were all getting ready to leave, but those of us in smaller rides had a blast as well. It was good to meet the guys from Asheboro as well, it's good to see that y'all got the K5-4runner back out. Look forward to doing it again soon.

Is that a plastic wrap roof on that 1 jeep? If so good idea. I'm gonna have to do that to my buggy for this weekend.

Ha! I topped it off before we hit the trail but I'm willing to bet I used 3/4 of the cell between welder and skyline:wheel:
