Would someone please give me directions to the wheeling spot in Mtn. City ? Getting to Mtn. City is simple, but never having been there, I'm not sure what roads to take once I get there. THANKS !

CALLALANTEE OFF ROAD PARK, Mountain City TN.
Callalantee Web Site
Latest Map Created by Alan Abbott and Galen Koch
Directions- Mountain City / Callalantee
321 or 421 into Boone If you drive up 321 from Lenoir, you drive thru Boone past ASU till you come to the intersection of 321/421 turn left. If you come 421 you just stay straight.
Once on 421 you stay on it until you reach Mountain City (24 miles from Boone)
When you come into Mountain City, look for a Hardee's on the left. Big large Parking lot that is good for leaving your trailer and tow rig if you are there for a day ride.
The next stop light past the one for Hardee's turn right, TN481/US91/Church St. Go 2.5 miles, cross a small bridge with a sign, Furnace Creek, and turn right on Furnace Creek Rd. You will see a sign there on the right for Callalantee ATV Park. Go slow thru there as it is a residential neighborhood and narrow roads. You will see the campground .5 miles on the right.
Parking -
1) Big large Parking lot that is good for leaving your trailer and tow rig if you are there for a day ride.
2) The is more than ample parking at the campground for tow rigs/trailers.
Travel Times -
Charlotte to Callentee is approx 2.5hrs.
Winston-Salem to Callentee is approx 2.0hrs

Thanks a bunch, but now I have another question. After viewing the website, are vehicles allowed on the trails? Kinda like Brown Mtn. in Morganton, N.C.
Yes, vehicles are permitted on all the trails. Unlike BM where there are only 2 trails you are allowed to have an actual vehicle on.
If you have never been there before and go alone you will get lost. Here is a good time to go http://www.nc4x4.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67211

Alrighty then, I hope to be able to go that weekend fer shur and next weekend too. Thanks to all you gearheads who took the time to reply back so soon. One more reason this forum is so KOOL. Oh yah, I'll be in the white Sidekick on 33 Pit Bull Rockers !:driver:

I guess i'll tag along so you can pull me again...............

Yeah if you have never been do not go alone on the trails...poorly marked and lots of side trails. You will get lost....
