On my 1992 GMC Suburban K2500, I have the standard muffler...

I'm wanting to replace it, and I can't decide between the Flowmaster Delta Flow 40 Series and the Delta Flow 50 Series.

I can get the 40 series for $75, or the 50 series for $95...but I may offer the same amount...

Any opinions with these mufflers?

I've never had either

My exhaust is 3"...just in case if that makes a difference.

I like the 50 series myself. They have a semi aggressive sound but allows you to have a conversation driving down the road. The sound of the 40 is cool for about a week and then it gets old quick.

I have had both, on 2 different f-150's, and it is pretty much as they said, the 40 series is definately louder, and more aggressive. Especially on a suburban, it is going to echo into your back window. But it will certainly turn heads, if that is what you are looking for.

+1

50 Series is probably best for me...

the rumble of the 40 Series from Hickory to Myrtle Beach or up to the mountains would probably be pretty annoying...

Anyone know anything about the other mufflers that Flowmaster offers?

Bethlehem Muffler said that I could straight pipe it and it wouldn't be that loud since the catalytic converter is on it. That was how my truck was...

Would straight pipe be loud on the inside?

What about back pressure? Don't I need that...mufflers produce that...right?
