so just thought I would post/share what music I like. Positive music changed my life many years ago so nowadays I share my music with anyone who might like rap/hip-hop music and if that's you, check these guys out...Christian Rap group but really good music without all that ugly pointless lyrics....hope you're blessed by this as much as I have been.
(If you don't like rap/hip-hop that's cool too and not saying anything against it. I've only liked hip-hop...or music with good beats but not trying to start any arguments or such. enjoy)

If you like Rap and Hip-Hop, check out also: Lecrae, Tedashi, Trip Lee, T-Bone, K-Praize, 116 Clique, Flame, Canton Jones

btw...that first song "born to shout" thumps hard if you got good sound system and your into that....rattles my trailer all to hell with my 15s!

I don't like rap or hip hop. I like stuff that takes talent to create.
Grew up on old rock and heavy metal and now I'm really big into Scandinavian metal, humppa, classical, opera and bluegrass.

couple of dudes with iced out grilz grabbing there junk constantly is hardly Christian anything

Being an old DJ, I like all music. My general taste over the years has become much more refined though. With that said, there are a lot of talentless hacks in the industry today, but it does take a lot of behind the scenes talent to make these stupid idiots sound good. Real music sounds better live in a small setting. You wanna hear/see some real music and talent? Check out NPR Tiny Desk Concert channel on YouTube .... That's talent!

well for me, ever since i came to America and got my first stereo (first time having music in 10 yrs) only music with a beat was of interest to me so rap/hip-hop/techno/DJ music is what immediately fell in love with. I tried other stuff but just couldn't get into it. I just love beats and bass. I've known it isn't much talent compared to other stuff but i just play it for the beats. (DJ however they got some cool talent)
With all the negative and stress in life, positive music really help me with keeping focus on God and positive mentality!

Love music.
(BTW this thread explains so much to me)
Went to a concert with my son last night.

Here is a clip he recorded from it.
We didnt have great seats but was still a great time.

I still like the old school stuff.
lol I love the old stuff too...would I be weird to say I actually like "the Beach boys" LOL, I'm a goofy person so i love music like that other than hip hop.

Hah me too. I had a moble DJ service from 1980-83. I traveled to high schools and private parties playing the dance hits from back then. I still like the old school stuff.
Lol I worked the titty bar circuit..... Learned to mix a lil vinyl but it didn't pay as well.

I like about anything, as long as it has music in it. If it screams at me or has stupid lyrics, like rap, then it's a no go. I was in band so have appreciation for classical, stage band so big fan of that, but seems I am most often alone there. @trailhugger introduced in another thread, The Carolina Chocolate drops years ago, and it stuck with me. Have been a fan of older rock for years, but I do tend to sing with music and those guys sing just a little too high for me most times, so I like the older country and a little new, just because it's in the same range as my voice box.

As long as it's music, regardless of genre, that's real. Not the over produced new crap just to sell on itunes.

The biggest part is quality lyrics that tell a story, and can mentally take you somewhere else and put you in someone else's shoes breifly, even if that place is imaginary.

@snappy did you know Corey Smith is playing The Orange Peel in Asheville next weekend?

Find a baby sitter and we'll go harass the Treadway's and listen to some fun music
