my childhood van monsterization

i was recently was given the 96 ford e350 van of my child hood. It is in typical shape for year and use, i am a mechanic full time fixing it up to modify. I want to rebuild motor, lift and 4x4 it. Does any body have ideas for parts?

Ill look at ujoint, its currently down and out, cracked the timing cover to find a half eaten set of gears.

Ultimately, What do you want to do with the Van?
Give us some specifics of what you have. Engine?
Was it a passenger window van? a panel van?
