My first chickens

The coop is vented basically all the way around the roof including the ridge plus the two doors. Maybe if it gets hot in ther it will encourage them to stay in the run. As far as covering the run it is kinda hard to see but i've got chicken wire stretched across it.

Finally got the coop done. Forgot to take pics this afternoon so these night shots have got to do. tell me what you think.

BTW the coop is level and the dog kennel is kinda down hill. Believe it or not that was the first thing the wife pointed out. It was going to be to much trouble to make it exact. I told her it's just a chicken coop.

Also I found out that five week old peeps even though they look huge can basically walk straight through chain link fence. So I had to line the kennel w/ 2' chicken wire.
