I have a 97 ZJ. (currently stock) I want to set it up for play but it has to stay a daily driver. I'm trying to do this with as little investment as possible. I'm thinking about going with a 4.5 short-arm kit and 32's. I'm probably going to go with used tires and keeping the stock wheels to save money. Can you guys recommend a lift lit that is reasonably priced with good articulation?

Try www.rustysoffroad.com and maybe www.4wheelparts.com. I had a Pro Comp lift on my ZJ and it was a decent lift for the money. It didn't flex a ton but it was the cheapest lift I could find so I was alright with that. Also get on www.nagca.com and ask the guys on there. NAGCA is a Grand Cherokee website and they will tell you anything and everything about their lifts.

look for some retread or recapped tires to save some money. i have had pretty good results with treadwright.com
