I will get some pictures. I am referring to the dog I have been baby sitting in the thread "I lost my best friend this past week" in General chit Chat.
Sketch... The miniature Pit Bull looking pooch
He listens pretty good, very loving, loves to be petted. No "messes" inside, He'll either sleep in his bed, or in yours, that's up to you. Here, he slept in his bed since my dog was with me.
He loves to go for a ride, and is a good rider.
He's got a big appetite, unlike my dog, he's eats good size portions, So I give him his food twice a day.
He is intact, IMO this should be changed, so he does "mark" and kick dirt at every marking(outside)

The bad, or could be considered as such,
He's very territorial. Any wild animal or any dog that shouldn't be there, he will go after and engage. For a small dog, he's very agile, and muscular. Coyote, Rottweiler he will hold his own.
He will chase lizards, and has killed many snakes, Snake bit once.
He should not be around farm animals. Not sure about big ones, but certainly not chickens. At least not any free range chickens.
As far as people, As far as I know, never been an issue, everyone seems to be his friend.

Steve also has, or had a white German Shepard. Good guard dog, but likes to roam, so he needs a fence, or a collar, to keep him in place.

Any questions, let me know.

This Jake, a white German Shepard, I thinking he's not yet two. Was all about me loving on him,( and I honestly was not that close to this dog as I was/am Sketch.) until I pulled out my phone to take pictures, then he got shy and wouldn't get close to me.

Oh, I forgot to mention, he is solid white, He's just dirty. And as far as I know, intact. His bark is loud and proud, but as far as I know, no aggression to speak of.

Went down and spent some time with Jake, the white Shepard, this morning. He was very loving, and lonely too I think. He didn't hark at all this morning until I was walking away, so he's missing someone to spend time with.
Please, someone give this beautiful animal a home. !!

I sent this info to a local friend who has contacts and I messaged you about it. Please let me know if you can follow through or I will help move it along. Thanks

It didnt send. Here it is again "
Virginia German Shepherd rescue. Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue are both good organizations. Please reach out to them."

One thing I have found spending time with these two, is that they have way too much testosterone. So, I will have them or pay to have them fixed for someone wanting either of them.( At the local Shelter in Hickory)

Bringing this back to the top. I am still caring for both of these dogs. Sketch, the mini pit looking one, stays here with me, inside, gets along with my dog Buddy just fine. They play follow the leader in everything. One barks, the other barks. One goes flying off the porch when seeing a squirrel, the other follows, One has to go potty, they both have to go, except early morning, Buddy prefers to sleep in LOL Sketch loves all people. The mail, lady, the UPS/Fed Ex guys, my neighbors(who only come around when they need something) He is a mouser, caught one the other day in my shop, before I could get it away from him, he had it swallowed. Still wants to go to neighbors when his dog is out. I've been correcting him on this, but still,... He'd make someone with no pets, or close neighbors with pets. Unless they had a good fenced area, or possibly trained him on a radio fence. I'm not sure a 4' fence would keep him in. Climb, jump or dig. He's smart.
Jake, the solid white GSD, I just went down to his home( my friends home) and got him back on his run. He'd been gone/missing for two weeks! His swivel that attached him to his run cable had just wore in to. He came right to me, and got his long missed lovings. I will go tomorrow and get some replacement parts so that he doesn't get loose again.
I have had several people ask about both of them, but they just have not given me the feeling that it was going to be a fit.(No one from here)

Oh I forgot another detail about Sketch. He will rid your place of snakes, I know of many he has "whipped" until dead, (was bit once, that has not deterred him) he is also a lizard hunter, and he may or may not move "things" to get to them. I'd say frogs and or toads may not be safe either. Hadn't seen him frothing at the mouth, no not rabies, but I know a toad will let off something that will make a dog froth. I learned that from my former Chocolate lab "Semi" I think it took twice and she learned they didn't taste good. Sketch is quick, he is fast.

The Shepard Jake has found a home. Well almost. He has went to a shelter up near Burnsville, with a lady that helps run it. I know her, have for a long time. He will be worked with, cleaned up, all shots given and getting his hangy down things removed this up coming week. Just so you all know. Veterans are not charged any fees with an adoption, as long as they pass the application.
