Here are some pics of my 1989 Mitsubishi Montero. It's a V6, 5-spd. It has 33/12.50 TSL's on it. The only thing left to do is crank the torsion bars and it'll be set for now. I've since painted the wheels gloss black and they look a lot better!

Nice looking Monty. I like the silver look, but the black wheels would make it look better. I have a 91. Along with the torsion bar crank you can get a spacer for the rear springs to level it out. Good luck with the build

Haha yeah they do. I appreciate the comments! I took it to Brandon(super nice guy) at RIDES today to get the torsion bars cranked. It looks a lot better now. I have 31's on it at the moment but the 33's will be going back on it soon.

Sweet looking Montero you got there. Kenny (Valkyrie45) has those same tires, and I have run them also. They look great on Montero/Raiders. Keeping in mind those 33x12.5s are really 34x12.5s (33.7", for reference 34x10.5 LTBs are 33.6").

(FROM BACK IN 08)

Can't wait to see the pictures with the t-bar crank and black wheels. :D

BTW. What is the size of the tire on the back there? That is a stock 15x6 LS Rim (What I have on my truck with my 34x9.5 TSLs) painted black. If that is a 33x12.5 on a 15x6, and for that matter if those silver rims are the stockers all I have to say is wow. I wonder how they do aired down. Please let me know how it goes when you wheel.

New pictures are up after the black wheels and torsion bar crank! ^^^^^^^^^^^ Your Raider looks great!! The wheels on the Montero with the 33's are 15x7 toyota wheels. The tire on the back is a 31/10.50/15 on the stock Montero wheel and I have the others in my building. I haven't aired them down but I'm sure they'd hold a great bead. I believe I could go with 35's if I wanted. Thanks for the compliments!

Now all you need to do is get that thing on the trails. We have a group of Montero/Raiders heading up to Uwharrie October 22nd-24th. You are more than welcome to ride along with the group. Good chance to meet some other crazy Montero/Raider owners.

I rebuilt the entire front end IFS and the autoparts store gave me the wrong CV axle and I did not know it. Went to URE had no 4wd drive. now I have to take it apart and get the correct CV. And while I was tearing everything down I tore both tie rod boots and have to replace them. About 1.5 hr fix just need the right parts. i should have it done by the end of the week.

I will say if you are wanting to keep this for very long and go offroading, upgrading your upper control arms, upper ball joints with the arms, idler arms and brake calipers to a gen 2 set up (92-98 montero is GenII)

whats up man? good lookin monty! glad to see more mitsu owners. i just picked up my 2nd,3rd and 4th raiders yesterday! you should definitely come to the mitsu event DRaider90 was talking about!
