Just got this from m1llrtym on here. No rust, in really good shape. Needs paint on the roof and hood, but rest looks great. Needs a good cleaning, but very straight.

First thing is swapping out the taillights and grille for stock ones. I've always liked the stock grilles the best.

Going to clean the fool out of it this weekend, I'll keep the thread updated. :)

Very nice pickup I've always loved K5 blazers

Nice Blazer, I would be interested in grill and steering if you do decide to change. I've got a stock wheel in my 86 suburban. Thanks

Ive got a couple stock wheels Id swap you if interested.

Still a TBI or did someone rip it off alon the way?

Dont touch the speedo gears. I have a fix for that too, just forgot yesterday. Ill get up with you tomorrow and give you the part/instructions. Its super easy.

OK, washed it and did a bunch of work to it today. I took the old passenger window motor out and replaced it with a new one, goes up and down like a champ now. Then I tackled the wiring to see why the rear window wouldn't go up and down. Turned out to be something goofed up in the wiring right at the tailgate. Ran a new wire that was about 2' long and now it goes up and down like a champ now!

Pics of how it sits now.

Tomorrow I am going to take it in to have a cat installed and the exhaust reworked a little bit.

Did a little more work on the truck. I fixed the floppy vent windows on the sliders, I was worried they were going to break with them slapping around all the time. I replaced the set screws with new allen head set screws that I could wrench down harder. I also tried to find that damn leak that is soaking the carpet in the cargo area, but can't find it. I also changed the fluid in the rear differential to see what is up with the rearend. Everything looked good, but I am sure the gov-lock is on its way out. It pops in and out of locking and sometimes locks and won't unlock when turning, causing a hell of a noise and acting like a spool. :(

Well, I figured out why my 7" of lift (4" suspension and 3" body) sat lower than Lee's 6" suspension. Apparently my truck only has a 2.5" suspension and a 3" body, so really only 5.5" of lift. I cleaned off the rear leafs and found the part number for the Superlift springs, sure enough, 2.5" lift.

And my rear axle now sounds like it has a bag of rocks in it, not much life left in this one.

Picked up a 14bff from talldeck427 on here, great guy to deal with. Thanks again man!

It need to be cleaned and reassembled, but already has the gears I want in it. No pics right now, it is in the back of the K5 and it is raining.

Well, ditching the 14bff project. The rear axle locked up and the a4bff would take more time and money than I have right now. I got a 14bsf that is complete, so I just need to regear it. Already have the gears, so should be a simple swap.

I also got these off of a fellow NC4x4 member. :)
