I have a built trail rig but have wanted a stock Cherokee to putt around on, for a while now. My budget was $500 so the pickins were slim.
After cruising Craigslist for several months now I finally found what I was looking for.
93 Cherokee Sport, 4.0l, AW4 and 4wd. It's in decent shape( straight body, no rust) but needs some attention under the hood. I figured with low initial layout on the purchase that I could find a decent low mileage motor to swap in if I need to.
Anyway, a few pics of my new toy.

I'll get these skating stickers and gay purple window tint scraped off and do a little work on the molding and I think the old gal will look pretty respectable.

Looks like a good buy for 500 bucks, no rust and seems to have a straight body, even decent paint. Tires don't look too bad either.

What kind of attention does it need? Mileage on the jeep?

The tires are almost new BFG's. Mileage is about 204k.
The motor sounds like it's running on 5 cylinders and starts to smoke after it warms up. The PO said it would start to flood and stall after a few minutes of driving. I'll probably do a compression check and fuel pressure check pretty soon. With that many miles it could just be worn out. Also a small amount of oil in the air box.
Oh and as a bonus the rear hatch hydraulic things still lift the gate like new. That's was totally unexpected.
