Well a couple days ago my buddy from Clemson and I headed up to Tellico for some trail riding. He has his new 37" Irocks and I just finished a almost total rebuild of my YJ. Andy down at CRS built my 4-link and cage. They held up great to a beating on slickrock and all. Heres a couple pics from Upper 2. That trail has been dug out a ton since I was last there in the Spring...

I have some more pics and video i may put up from slickrock

Looks like you got just a tad tippy. Did the cage see any action?

yeah, i was trying to use the bank to get up the ledge b/c there was NO traction on the rocks with all the rain we got the night before. I flopped it over onto the side, but no real cage action yet. I have a few things to fix from that shakedown run and I'll be back up there soon.

Heres a pic once I flopped it over onto the rock. I was lucky enough to just back out of it.

i'm trying to upload some videos. but thats taking a while, so i don't when i can link them here. we'll see what i can do:beer:

well

Do you think the "NO" traction had anything to do with those 37 inch radial SSR's your running?? Did anyone else with a different tire do any better?? The type of tire ( radial or Bias Ply) and brand of tire often make a huge difference in the TRACTION department. :):driver:

yeah, i know the SSRs are a crappy tire. they're the only thing i could get ahold of cheaper to replace my small 33s. they actually did very well. the guy i was riding with had Irocks and he didnt do THAT much better than me. He took a different line on Upper 2 and still had to winch.

once i make some more $$$ i'm planning on some 38.5" SXs

o yeah 38.5's SX's???

My friend has a set of 39.5 inch boggers he is seeling with rims for a great price. I will see what else I can find you. O if you go with 37's again like krawlers or claws or MTR's or something let me know because I got a great spare 37x1250x15 MTR for you for $50.:driver:

cool vids... that was the first video footage I have seen of those 3 obstacles.
what is your setup? locked front and rear or just rear? what is your crawl ratio? etc.... thanks

Thanks man. Only the Upper 2 one is mine. I have video of Slickrock too, it's just too long to upload right now. I'm running a 44/9" with full case detroits front and rear with 4.88s. moser shafts up front and currie 31 splines in the rear. i think the crawl ratio is only like 50.8:1

looks real good man!
