This Jeep has been around since about 2000, it's a 1980 CJ 7, I've put a lot of time into it. My brother has had it for the last 15 years (he's a carpenter not a mechanic so it hasn't been running the last 14), now I need to get it from Montana back to Boone. Couple years ago I went out there to visit and get it running, ended up just hanging out and enjoying not working on vehicles.

Not in digital form yet. Brown with yellow and orange renegade decals, mostly stock parts, very old tires (1996 date codes). 258 with 3 speed, painless harness, line-x floorboards, soft top.

Road trip adventure. Fly out and drive it back!

If you have time, take the trip. If not, let it ship. Shipping probably will cost less than the trip when it's said and done.

Someone is paying attention that it's a true CJ 7, the engine came out of a 78, tranny was something laying in the yard, belly pan was lost (cut one up one, reweld for tranny mount), used to be an iron duke, ignition was questionable at the time (motorcraft box with a few wires switched), carb full of silicone (wot only), distributor stabbed in wrong, (one tooth off=change firing order on the cap=confuse and bewilder anyone). It ran and drove from NC to MT!

Trying to do it right(ish), sent a new carb and DUI distributor to my brother to install so we can get it running again, transport is on the way, my old Jeep is putting me in the hole almost 2 grand without seeing it in 3 years.
