finally got a pic of it on my camera phone... this thing has been stripped down to the frame, sand blasted/painted... still runs the 134 flat head engine and all mechanicals have been rebuilt... it sat in the weeds for years and had trees growing through the wooden floorboards when we pulled it out... it also had USMC stamped on the sidewalls of the tires... the rear of the tub was trashed so he built one from the firewall back from scratch which matches the original dimensions other than moving the gas tank (which he also built from scratch) under the rear cargo area from its original position under the front seat... it is now street legal and he cruises (putts) around town with it regularly :driver:

That is sweet. If you get a chance I would love to see some more pictures of it. I have a tub, hood, and grill in storage just waiting for other projects to move out of the garage.

i have several more but i have to media message them to my email, costing me $$$... i will see what i can do... if i find someone w/ a bluetooth link on their computer i will get them and upload them to the post....

also, forgot to mention, total build time for it was only ~4 months... 5 years ago (been too lazy to snap pics for 5 years )

Well I am jealous. I want one for a DD. I have been looking for one, but they are always more $$ than I have. I would love to drive one to work everyday. Maybe not a full resto, but close.

Not a fan of your spine? Or must have a well-padded backside.

shifter

If it has the original transfer case, which it looks like, the second lever is for low range. The taller lever is 4x4/in and out and the shorter one is for low range.

cool rig...

I like my spine, but I didn't say a full resto. It would take a little for me to even fit into one since I am 6'5". Plus I would need something that would go faster than 45mph. I think it would be a great DD, that or a good old fashion rat rod. hmm maybe both.
