I didn't get to sleep til 5am this morning. I did not get up early.
When I did get going, we went out, and prepped a Towncar and a Windstar to head to the fire dept. Heath and I went down, and rescued my v bridle from the Montana it was stuck under.
I put Boiling Springs fire dept in my GPS, and we left. After a while I realized we were not going to Boiling Springs, we were headed to Cliffside. I rerouted, and we were 11 minutes away.
As we got close, a fire truck appeared in the oncoming lane running code 3. I stopped. Steph was a long way behind me. Somehow she didn't see that I had stopped.
I could not see her past the van I was towing, but I noticed the fire truck stopped next to me. As I was not on fire, I was confused. Then I got hit. She almost got the Suburban stopped, but not quite. She wacked the back bumper on the Windstar, and bent the bumper on the Burb slightly. I was just happy she didn't break the rare, one year only grill on Penny. They are about $400 if you can find them. I have 3 more though.
The fire truck driver was getting out. I told him I owned both trucks, and was heading to the fire dept, so to go on his call. They left.
I got back in my truck, and started going. Steph called, and said she broke the back strap on the Windstar. We were only about 2 miles from our destination, the van was in park with the brake set, so I risked it. We made it.
As we unloaded two fireman pulled in. One had seen the wreck. He thought it was funny. He said they saw her lock up the brakes, and knew she was going to hit me so they stopped.
I have a big RanchHand like bumper I want to put on the Burb anyhow. Now Steph cant say a word about it.
