OK, I am trying to figure out the wiring in this YJ I bought last week. We have replaced all of the gaskets for the Intake manifold and adapter for the Edelbrock 4 barrel. SHe runs great now. BUT, I was setting the electronic choke and It is wired the way Edelbrock says to with the red going to an IGN hot and grounded to itself. However there is a Black wire from the alternator that is spliced into the red wire on the Choke. Edelbrock says NOT to wire to the alternator.
1. What is the Black wire supposed to be attached to? It is the wire in the same clip as the heavy Red one on the back of the alternator.
2. Is it a ground or a hot wire?
Thanks
