It'a a bad time of year for deer getting hit. Just about hit one Tuesday morning on Glennwood ave. just past 4WP. Nice big buck chased a doe across Glenwood during morning rush hour.

Right after the SHP drove off, a guy in a pickup pulls up.
"Did you hit a deer?"
Yep
"Wanna see it?"
He had it in the back of his truck. Said he hunts a lot, but takes more than he can eat...so he packs it and gives to to the needy. Actually, hunts that land...he should have shot this one already, would have saved me a headache.

Nice buck, did you find his broken antler?. I'd tell my buddies I shot him stalking, old school w a stickbow and stone arrowheads, wearing only moccassins, a loincloth, and a camo bandanna on my head
My wife and I hit a doe in a 93 Nissan 240sx years ago that jumped right infront of the car from the tall unmowed grass on the side of the road, about 50mph. She was driving, in a curve, and the deers stomach instantly ruptured and coverered the entire windshield and alot of the car w its contents that were green, stinky, and not "see through" She freaked and froze as I grabbed the wheel and we stopped safely somehow. She was upset she killed the deer,crying etc. but I told her nobody could have missed it,it was 10' maybe when it jumped infront of the car. Minor damage, just had to replace the plastic nose of the car. Did you hit him anywhere near Corbinton? I hunt some there. If I hit a deer, while driving the boss's suv, she'd say I did it on purpose, and would'nt have hit it w my truck!!!

Got him near the Lee and Moore line on 15/501. Adjuster came yesterday, will call with numbers today. I think he was leaning towards total.

Ouch, I'm glad nobody was injured? I passed a Chevy Astro Van years ago on the shoulder of 0ld Hwy 86 near Hillsborough on the side of the road w caution tape wrapped around it and the windshield collapsed into the van. I read in the paper the next day the driver was killed when he hit a deer.
