I know purchasing new vehicles, especially cars isn't the motif of this site, however, I'm in the market for a new car. I'm a Ford guy through and through...and I think I've decided on picking up a 2011 Mustang. I'm really in the market for a commuter car...but it's tough to beat the 31mpg's the 3.7L V6 can provide (way better than the 6-8mpg's I get now, depending on the rig)...and the 3.7 also produces 305hp.

So anyway, I'm looking for the most buyer friendly Ford dealerships some of you have gone to. I'm willing to drive within the state for the best experience and deals. I know some places advertise as price leaders or volume leaders or luxury leaders, etc...but I've never really paid attention to that for cars. I've found a couple '11 stangs I'd be interested in at Keith Hawthorne thus far. Thanks for any info.

x2 on Hilbish. Every time I've been there, they've been very professional and easy to deal with.

 V6 Mustang.
Sorry, just had to say that. Sure it has 305 hp, but it is still missing two cylinders.
The new 5.0L gets 26mpg and you won't have to give your testicles on trade in.

ehhh...I'm secure with my masculinity, I don't have to measure my male appendage with anyone else. Besides, I've already got 3 other rigs over the 400hp mark that have the all important V8:rolleyes:, I'm just looking for a commuter, considering I'm not liking $35/day in fuel. I figure if I went the route of a sedan, it would be a 4 banger or 6 something...not be as stylish and not have the power and get worse mpg's. Or put myself in a sardine can to get upper 30 mpgs with waaay less power. Then finally, sure I can go with the five-oh...but that'll be an extra 10k on the sticker...now if anyone feels like subsidizing that, I take donations.

So based on that reasoning, that's why I decided on the V6 stang.

The V6 Mustang makes more HP out of the box than most of the Cobras that Ford built over the years.

i hear green ford is number one in the state for new car sales right now so they must be doing something well aside from that idk but a guy in our club test drove one and said it drove great but he expected more power from it..but keep in mind that 300 hp in a big heavy car like that probly aint gonna skoot u down the road like most think..they are nice tho.

Uh... isn't that what I said?

I mean, unless you want to count all those mid-80s 4-bangers... just to be more thorough.

My thoughts exactly...More power than any 460 the last 20 years they were produced. Half the cubes, but more power...sheesh technology has come a long way.

Appreciate that bro.

Dickerson Motors, York SC see Danny Dickerson Owned by two brothers Danny and Jim. No yard salesmen or managers, you do not deal with the monkey you deal with the organ grinder. Best service department I have found. They always have a car waiting for me to use while mine is being serviced.

Tell him the guy with the F250 6.0L with 320K miles sent you.

Thanks for the help fellas...after doing quite a bit of shopping around, I narrowed it down to Hawthorne or Mooresville Ford. Me and the girl just bought an Edge at Mooresville about 3 months ago, so I went that route again. So last night they found my 'perfect' car, and it'll be here tomorrow night with 3 miles on the odo. Ended up getting out the door with a brand new 2011 V6 Mustang with A/T, and a few other accessories for 21k...and when I sign tomorrow, I'm throwing down 3k.

I was really impressed with the rate Ford Credit offered me considering I'm only a year outta school and the banks darn near wanted double the rate.
