I had been around Shawn a few times from my days in the mountains but didn't know him all that well. Such a sad thing to happen to such a young devoted man. God bless his family and I hope they just shoot the scum that shot him.

my dad being a retired first sgt and my older brother a 11year master trooper, i understand how it can get sometimes on patrol. i can remember about a year ago, bryan done a rutine stop. the guy took off after bryan got out his car. bryan pitted him about 3 miles up the road. they got into a scuffle, bryan used mace, even got it into both his eyes. bryans backup lost the tranny in his vic on the way. my dad called me to go that way. when we got on the sceen, bryan had his gun in the guys eye, made the guy mess himself bad. after my dad cuffed him, we found coke and a shitload of guns in the trunk of the car. it could have ended very badly. from what i heard the guy got ruffed up a little by accident, lol, at the jail. the guy that shot that trooper should get F'd up by accident too.

I saw all the flowers this morning when I got off the exit. I feel bad for the kid who's yet to make it out of the hospital and the mother that has to piece it all together.
