Picked up a new property this week. Only a couple of huntable acres, but its in town so urban archery is an option. Got a couple decent deer on cam in just 3 days.

Just learned about Go Outdoors NC app for your phone.

Has all your tags and stuff online.

Easy peasy.

But I'd still screenshot it in case you lose signal when a game warden comes across you hauling one of those Smokey Mountain Elks out.

Doesn't require signal, can even tag a deer without signal. Pretty good app imo.

My hunting buddy for the evening.

Well this morning changed pretty fast. 10am I was suppose to leave and head home. About 10:05 I get almost to the truck and aim at a tree and shoot my muzzleloader to unload it for the year. Get to truck and start taking layer offs. Phone starts buzzing and think its my wife. So pick it up to look and its my camera on the ridge going off. With a buck at it. Figure the shot scared it off but it keeps going off. He is still there. Camera is about 125 yards and about 125 ft of elevation above me. I said we'll im gonna try to at least see him. There is a little ravien between the little ridge he is on the next over that has grass on it. So I reload the gun and eaze up it. I get to where I can see him up above me and he is 80yds but to thick to shoot. So I keep going up trying to get a better angle. I get to a decent size patch or mountain laurel put it between us and was going to slip up the edge and close some distance. About that time he comes down the hill straight at me. Stopped and started rubbing a tree at the edge of the laurel. So I squat down and wait. He comes around the same edge of it as im on and first clear shot i had was at 10yds. Put it on his shoulder I didnt want to go look for him. He does a front flip and takes 2 steps after and is done. The hole in center of his chest is the exit. Im not sure if bullet hit off side shoulder and deflected out the front but he couldnt go with it like that.

Now gotta go find a big one
