First time in years I've got what id consider a trophy to chase. Im usually just happy to put something in the freezer.

Seen a couple does, a small 6 and this little 11 point. He's still on velvet.

Went exploring Sunday. Long story short, 50ac tract we lost permission to access the normal way we always did. Gained access through a small tract that came up at a tax sale. Now to cut back the old logging road that is just a deer highway and breathe some life back into this place.

@StretchASU Please upload a future video where you shoot a bottle rocket into that nest

So Blake and Jake decided they wanted another duck blind. And they wanted it semi permanent and floating.

The base. Lets say it is definitely sturdy.

On top of a small plastic boat to get it in deep enough water to float. My idea was the 4 inch pvc I had laying around to make a movable mat. A couple weeks ago they blazed a road and ran chainsaws in the muck to make a path. Plenty of small stumps that would have been road blocks without the pvc and boat.

At this point I was golfer and fetch.

Atthis point the base nearly unloaded itself. Couldn't be righted so in the water it went.

Poor Echo, glad it wasn't mine.

A bit more of this and on it went.

So the engineers learned a bit about center mass, floatation and design 😂. All of us standing in the rear wall looked like a fountain boat coming out of the hole.
They hem hawed and discussed options. I laughed and tried my best to tip it over.

Plan B..to come. More floats and out riggers.

Mid twenties, no kids, and decent jobs. Good young men without bad habits and little extended responsibilities. At his age I was juggling a mortgage, two car payments, a toddler, and a future ex wife!
