This idea isn't new, but this will be the first NC4x4 based one. The Pay it Forward Vehicle Recovery list is series of names/contact numbers of people you can call if you get stuck, or have trail breakage etc. Because even though we all know the wheel with a buddy rule, sometimes you find yourself stuck out in the middle of a trail with no help. To gain access to the list all you have to do is sign up and become apart of the list. So by offering your help, you gain access to the help of others.
The aren't a lot of rules, its all mostly common sense but lets go ahead and get them out of the way:
1.)By signing up you are also offering to help others, not just to be able to get help. It goes both ways. If you just want to use the list in case you get stuck and not help others in turn please don't sign up.
2.)Respect the available times listed by people that have signed up. If someone has 5pm-1am listed, don't call them at 3am in the morning. Abusing the list like this will get you removed from access to it.
3.)If they have opted not to provide help in illegal wheeling situations don't call them if you get stuck wheeling on the power lines/private property that you don't have permission to be on. You will just be wasting their time and yours. Please find someone on the list that says they will help in this situation and contact them.
4.)Compensation is NOT required for help given, this is the pay it forward portion. Because after you help them, who knows they may end up helping you. BUT this is not to say offering gas money isn't a bad idea but again not required.
5.)Use common courtesy/common sense when someone comes to help. They are there to help YOU out. Get out and hook up the winch cable if your stuck in a mud pit etc. Don't take advantage of the people there to help you.
If you agree to the above which I don't think anyone should have issues with and want to help others and in turn be able to get help PM me with the forum below filled out:
-Name: (Your Name)
-Location: (Your Location)
-Contact Number: (Cell/Home Phone)
-Distance Willing to Drive: (Distance you will drive to help)
-Time Available: (When you can be reached to come help)
-Help in Illegal Wheeling Situation? (Will you help if they are stuck/broke down wheeling illegally?)
-Vehicle Information: (Do you had mud tires? etc.)
-Winch Equipped: (Does your vehicle have a winch? Yes/No)
-Willing To Wrench: (Willing to help fix the vehicle if broken?)
-Give a Ride: (Will you give someone a ride home if the vehicle can't be recovered?)
-Other Help: (Can you maybe help transport parts? Help with vehicle advice? Provide lodging for an out of town wheeler? Help with a vehicle build? ETC)
After you have sent the form in to me via PM your contact information will be verified and then you will be sent the list via PM. Every time another person is added or the list is edited you will be PM'd with a new version. Please don't give out the list to your friends and other people. If we have issues with this we encourage list participants to check the person's calling information against the list if possible. If you want your friends to be able to use the list have them come on here and sign up, its really easy.
