Okay so I was baptized this past Sun. and the heater in the baptismal hasn't worked for awhile (yes I knew about this). I did not think the water would be that cold seeing as the preacher had the heat pretty high since Wed. Oh how wrong I was. I know you guys have seen the polar bear clubs where guys jump into freezing cold water almost naked; well I can probably consider myself a member (minus the half naked part). I was only in there for a couple of min. and everything from the waist down went completely numb.

Now the problem is that the church cannot afford the $800 to replace the water pump that heats the water because of it needing a new roof. So if anyone knows of a water heater that can heat say at least 600 gallons to about 70 F (anything is better than what it is now) please let me know. The cheaper the better; any information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Mike

Congrats on being baptized, that is AWESOME!
Thanks. This is my second time being baptized, the first time was when I was pretty young and in a catholic church they just touch you with holy water. This was baptist and they dunk completely, lol.

I used to be a steeple jack and install those pools also. I'm trying to remember what we sold for those, it was a slow heat though. the church's were supposed to fill the previous night and it would slowly bring the temp up.

Try Piedmont Fiberglass in Mooresville and see if they still sell these. The mini heater on the site is under $400, not sure if that's enough heat for the size you have though, there are others on there.
