MIL used to work for Foamex in Huntersville.
They made and supplied foam for many name brand mattress companies. They could buy X mattresses per year on program.
I bought a Queen set from her (That I replaced when I bought the aforementioned last year) in 2000. I think we paid $75. Maybe $50, but I think $75. Anyway when I picked it up, it had a Seally Tag on it that said it retailed for $2700. Now Im sure no one (or practically no one) really pays $2,700 and I am also sure they didnt lose any money in selling her the mattress.
