Need a new shop vac

Yeah same goes for me. Little tab. Honestly the friction of male to female connections with a little grit in there are stronger than the push tab.

Another Ridgid vote here. I still have my first one, thing is 22, maybe 23 years old. Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. Normal vacuuming, backing up my drywall sander for popcorn removals, wet-vac duties. A few years ago I even used it multiple times to drain water out of the footings for my house addition (lots of snow and rain after the dig but before the pour) and left it out in the weather multiple times. Still works!

So, tell me about said "locking hose"... just a PITA or showstopper?
What they said above. I just thought when I read the description of locking hose, it would be something more robust. Used it again yesterday. It is a hawse!!
