My 90 year old MIL needs here car serviced. Check engine light is on and it needs an inspection to get the registration renewed. They took the car by auto zone and they said some about the evap system. They bought a new gas cap but that didn't solve the problem. Anybody recommend a shop that can service her car and not rip off an old lady?

I like Lewis Tire and Auto in Main St (919.359.9050). Jason has never done wrong by me. I think he is a one man shop, so either stop by to arrange a time for him to work on the car or call first thing in the morning (8:00-8:15) or late in the day (4:30-5:00).

This. Jason is good people, but busy, and is a one man operation last time I checked. Clayton Tire on Hwy 70 (9195538473) is also a good shop if you can't get in to Lewis' in your time frame.

I've got a buddy that just started doing mobile service, Raleigh-Fuquay-Clayton-Apex-etc, give him a call. Very experienced, great at diagnostics
