I just blew a tranz I spend over 1000 on after all said and done, and now I need another one. Do any of you know where I can buy a brand new TH350, or one with zero miles on rebuild?

because I will have to get new driveshafts, and transfer case. Thats why I want a new one, so it has a warranty. Alex just got done putting a new transmission and transfer case in less than two weeks ago, and I lost 3rd gear on my way home, and now it does all this weird stuff when it goes into 2nd. And when I am sitting at a light, it like jumps in and out of gear, and jerks a lot. When I put the new tranx in, she is goin down to 33s until I get some 5.38s.....
will the 5.38s kill my MPG compared to the 4.10s?

Woud something like this solve my problems, or do yall think I just need to replace it?
Because I am no tranny expert, and I dont know exactly whats wrong with it, and not quite sure how to explain it...Any help appreciated....

If you're going all the way down to 33's from 44's then you won't notice a drop in MPG, actually a gain. But with your combo, I wouldn't think you would be worried about MPG. There's a place in SC called Cook's transmission who rebuilds transmissions. He rebuilds C4's, Th350's, 400's etc. and he puts a shift kit in the transmission while he's at it and he always charged $175-200. He does good work.

Do you think I should pull the trans myself, or just drive it up there as is, and let them mess with the whole thing? After all, it gave alex a hell of a time. what would a rebuild cost if it took it to say AMACCO, or B&R?
