When it rains, it pours, sometimes! So, all of a sudden, my Projection TV set, goes out! Now fwit, as far as tv,through Dish,I have a blue screen, & no sound. I can turn on my tape player,& play a tape or disc, with no problem=picture & sound. Tried switching AV inputs, makes no difference. With the blue screen, about every 10 seconds, I get a flash & noise, like it's trying to come on. Have a basement TV, also hooked on my Dish, & it works fine, so about 99% sure, problem is in the Big TV. Any repair people in the Charlotte/Gastonia area, or recommendations? Thanks

Only 36 views by now? And I asked Family, friends, & co-workers, nobody seems to use the TV Man, anymore. [like Maytag man]
Turns out I DON'T need a repairman! Tried another borrowed TV today, same thing. Troubleshooting with Dish Tech, problem is either a video cable or my VCR player.
Unhooked from Player, hooked straight to TV, from Dish Box,now it works! Probably something in the Player. Dish will send a tech tomorrow, to check my system, at no charge.
THANKS FOR LOOKING!

Well, I'm kind of thrifty. I squeak, when I walk! I opted out of any "recording " devices, from the Satellite Co.s, because I know at some point, they start charging, for them.
I still have a collection of Tapes, & Disc, that I rarely watch, & the dual player/recorder/burner, is paid for! Of course now, looks like it may be Broke!:eek:ops:

I'm such a Dinosaur! Technician showed up, re-hooked my RCA cables to the VCR/Tape player, looked at display on Player, & explained I was on the wrong channel!:poop:
I didn't even remember it having a channel selector. Apparently, I had somehow bumped the button, & changed it.
O well, least there is nothing wrong, with my Round Black & White Tv, & Beta player!:D

I tried calling Progresso Soup, it was long distance, & my string, wasn't long enough! Too Short Again!

If you're already paying for Dish, you can just upgrade to the newer box (one-time cost) and the digital recorder comes with it for free. But I know what you mean. I have Dish, and I refuse to fork over $200 for the newer box that will give me HD (no extra monthly fees). I'd rather spend that money somewhere else, or not at all.

When I signed up with Dish, It was as most all, 2-year contract/ $29.95 first year, regular price, there after. DVR, free first year, the $5 mo., after. I declined the DVR!
