Need Advice - Durham

Hey guys I need some advice.
I have to be in Raleigh tomorrow for work, then some friends are getting married in VA on Saturday AM (btw who the hell gets married at 10A) then we decided we'd stop back in Durham for the Dook Clemson football game Saturday night.
Looking for a hotel in Durham.
Following the wedding reception, tailgating and football game I'd like to be as close to the stadium as possible for uh....logistical purposes.

That said the last two times Ive stayed in Durham even in "niccer" hotels Ive been propositioned by hookers and crack dealers...

So what is the "good" area of Durham?
 
I don't think those were actual hookers and dealers, they were just Duke students, maybe sorority girls and frat boys.
 
Maybe bop on down 85 south about 15 minutes to Mebane?? Hampton and Holiday Inns right at hwy 119 exit. Nicer neighborhood, but it is saturday night!! The "logistics" might interfere w that though! If Duke wins you could always follow a crowd of partyers back to their dorm or apartment ( on foot ) and crash there! just don't tell them your a Clemson Fan :eek:

^^^^^^^^^This, though Raleigh has some notorious motels too, so does Cary. I swear a few months ago a prostytution ring was busted at the Motel 6 in Cary ? that involved 2 highschool girls w a website?? catering to Truckers. The frequent traffic of big rigs arriving and leaving is what caused the investigation.
 
well crap guess we'll book a nice enough national hotel and see how it goes.

Call me. I'm in Raleigh/Cary today and Saturday and Sunday. We'll do lunch or something.
 
Look around 15/501 and I40. Should be several chains around there in pretty good locations. If you want to spend some money though stay at the Washington Duke Inn, it is probably 250 a night for weekends that Duke is playing at home.
