NEED AIRLINE HELP ASAP FOR SOLDIER

anyone work for airline or know anyone close that does? my brother in law needs help today getting a flight to germany tommorow. if anyone has hookups let me know asap!!!
 
got it handled, with no help from the airlines. had to pay $600 for a one way back to germany.
rant. is it just me or should all servicemen/women be able to fly free to and from home?!?

That owuld be nice, but seeing as the airlines are private companies, and most are already in the red, and for that flight might very well not even be US companies, I sure wouldn't expect it.

Although I've heard various stories of service men showing up in full dress and orders in hand and asking politely and conveniently being conveniently "found" standby seats.

They can. It is called Space "A" (availability). It is on Government and government contract flights. It doesn't work for short notice flights but it is an option. The irony is most of the time the military "discount" is more expensive than not mentioning your military LOL. If you get bored try it just make seperate calls.

On a side note was he home on leave or emergency leave. If it was emerg then red cross or another agency could have footed the bill. Glad he made it back but sucks it cost that much.
