Does anyone know of a shop around Greensboro that would turn dimpled and slotted rotors? The front rotors on my Tahoe are warped from towing with it, and the rotors are less than a year old.

In other threads people have talked about the dimpled and slotted rotors tear up the shops equipment and dull the grinder faster; therefore, some shops don't do them. At least that is my understanding, hopefully I am wrong.

As a mechanic who has turned one or two, its really no different. I do cut less material per pass(.003)but a set of bits cost less than $20. Id turn em if you were closer.

I would turn them as well provided they could be turned .I know they are less then a year old . I have had slotted and dimpled rotors before and noticed no difference. If you are warping rotors that quick you might have rear brake out of adjustment if it has drum rear . Also Car Quest now offers police series brakes from raybestos I have felt the rotors and pads both they are a lot heavier then stock or after market rotors .
