Need headlight help.

My step daughter has a 2014 f-150 platinum. It has the projector headlights and she has had nothing but problems from the headlight control module. The OEM replacement is way more than a young lady who’s working her way through college can afford and she has been VERY adamant that she wants to pay (fix) it herself. We have tried a couple of cheaper options.

Question is, can we just change it over to conventional halogen headlights?

I have found a “conversion harness” and then she could get the headlight buckets for conventional halogen bulbs.

Anybody done this?

I guess I should have clarified. Yes, LED is the end state. Getting rid of the HID and Factory controllers is the goal.
